I was born in Schenectady, NY in 1929. Graduated from Norwich University, Northfield, VT in 1950 and was immediately sent to Korea as a 2d Lieutenant in the Cavalry Branch of the US Army. Accepted a Regular Army commission and served 28 years, retiring as a full Colonel (06) in 1978.
Stationed in Japan, Germany, Iran, Ft Irwin CA, Ft Knox KY, Ft Leavenworth KS, Ft Belvoir VA, Ft Monroe VA and Norwich University in Northfield VT. Was Commandant of Cadets (Dean of Students) at Norwich from 1978-1981.
Now living on the 140 acre farm started by my great-grandfather, about thirty miles north of Schenectady and six miles southwest of Saratoga Springs. Grow and harvest hay to sell to horse owners in the area. Not much money in this endeaver, but hay, it keeps me busy (in the summer harvesting and in the winter selling).

The above picture could be of me (except I no longer smoke a pipe) pursuing one of my favorite hobbies -- trout fishing. I also like canoeing, hiking, cross-country skiing and hunting. Almost anything outdoors attracts me. My indoor hobbies include woodworking, stamp collecting, reading. and, lately, making homepages on the internet.
